Zaluzhnyi to remain Army’s Commander-in-Chief - Zelensky
The president addressed the issue, speaking at a Kyiv press conference on Tuesday, August 23, an Ukrinrform correspondent reports.
"I have no plans to transfer Commander-in-Chief Zaluzhnyi anywhere, we work as a team," Zelensky stressed.
The head of state emphasized that it is very important that there is a team, where commanders in various fields are working alongside each other.
"The most important assessment of our performance is that we’re holding on, which means the assessment is high, and when we win, it will be the highest," the president noted.
Earlier, a number of media outlets circulated reports, citing unnamed sources, that the president allegedly intended to make a reshuffle, appointing Valeriy Zaluzhnyi to another position in government, releasing him from the post of Ukraine Army’s Commander-in-Chief.
