Zelensky meets with US senators, discuss situation at front
“I’m pleased to welcome US Senators Rob Portman and Amy Klobuchar to Ukraine! The bipartisan and bicameral support of Congress is extremely valuable to us. The development of the situation at the front was discussed in detail. I am grateful to the United States for the security assistance! It should be continued and increased. This is important for the victory of Ukraine,” Zelensky posted on Telegram.
The President underscored that the sanction policy against the aggressor country must also be intensified. One of the elements of such pressure should be the introduction of visa restrictions for the citizens of the Russian Federation so that the Russians feel the consequences of their support for aggression against Ukraine.
As reported, on August 24, the Pentagon announced the allocation of an additional package of security assistance to Ukraine worth about $3 billion.
