Ukraine PM names main purpose of visit to UNGA
That’s according to Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, who wrote about this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
"The 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly kicked off its work in New York today. An important event at the General Assembly will be a speech in the form of a video address by President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine," wrote Denys Shmyhal.
The prime minister has noted that the Ukrainian delegation is physically present at the event hosted by the UN Headquarters.
"Global hunger, nuclear terrorism, unprecedented violence – these are the associations that Russia evokes among world leaders today. All their addresses begin with the situation of Ukraine and the global implications that the war has already caused and will cause in the future. Such is the significant interest of world leaders demonstrates their concern and desire to unite in the face of these terrible threats that the aggressor poses," the head of the Ukrainian government noted.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal, as well as First Lady Olena Zelenska, will take part in the events on the UNGA sidelines.
