Verkhovna Rada Chair, President of National Assembly of France visit Chernihiv region
"Today I’m paying a working visit to Chernihiv region together with President of the National Assembly of France Yaël Braun-Pivet," Stefanchuk posted on Facebook.
He noted that Chernihiv region was one of the regions most affected by Russian aggression. According to Vyacheslav Chaus, Head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, 8,500 objects, mainly residential buildings, were destroyed as a result of the active hostilities. In addition, 33 bridges and crossings were destroyed, 1,000 kilometers of roads were damaged in the region.
"And this is far from a complete list of what the Russian invaders ruined," the Chair of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine emphasized.
Now the region needs assistance, primarily in reconstruction, Stefanchuk emphasized.
"I am grateful to France for participating actively in the restoration of Ukraine, in particular of Chernihiv region, by taking patronage over the region," he added.
As reported, UAH 250 million was allocated from the reserve fund of the state budget for the restoration of priority facilities of critical infrastructure and socially important objects in Chernihiv region.
