Zelensky awards USAID coordinator with Order of Princess Olga

At a meeting with Power, Zelensky thanked the United States for its powerful support in resisting Russia's armed aggression and separately thanked Power for her work.
Zelensky praised the level of economic and defense support provided by the United States, noting the recent announcement of another U.S. security aid package worth $1.1 billion, as well as the decision to allocate a total of over $12 billion in assistance to Ukraine.
"It is extremely important for us to have such an ally as the U.S., which is a real leader in consolidating international support for Ukraine," Zelensky said.
He emphasized the importance of Power's meeting with Ukraine's First Lady, Olena Zelenska, as part of her visit to the United States in July of this year. He also thanked USAID for allocating $55 million to prepare Ukraine's heat supply infrastructure for winter in terms of countering Russian aggression.
Both parties discussed the details of a number of specific programs designed to build a safe space in Ukraine, as well as the importance of implementing the plan for the rapid recovery of Ukraine.
"Today, our main goal is to prepare for winter, create decent living conditions for the population in the liberated territories, and to restore critical infrastructure as soon as possible. There is something big and ambitious that will happen after the victory of Ukraine, and there is something that is needed now and where you can help us," Zelensky said.
During the meeting, Zelensky presented Power with an Order of Princess Olga, 1st grade, which for her significant contribution to the development of interstate cooperation and consistent and important support of Ukraine.
On October 6, Administrator Samantha Power announced a $55 million investment in Ukraine's heating infrastructure to aid the country's preparations for winter amid Russia's brutal war.
