Zelensky calls on Australian PM to strengthen security assistance to Ukraine

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has informed Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese about Russia's missile attacks on Ukrainians and called for increased security assistance to Ukraine.

The head of state said this on Twitter, Ukrinform reports.

"Had a fruitful conversation with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese. Informed about Russia's missile terror. Noted the importance of Australia's security assistance and called for its strengthening. The free world is united in supporting Ukraine and opposing the aggressor!" Zelensky said.

Early on October 10, Russia launched a massive missile attack on Ukraine, killing at least 19 civilians and wounding more than a hundred. Critical infrastructure in Kyiv and other regions in Ukraine was damaged.

On Tuesday, Russia continued its missile attack on Ukraine.
