Bulgaria not planning to evacuate its embassy staff in Kyiv

Ukrinform
Bulgaria's Deputy Foreign Minister Kostadin Kodzhabashev has said that his country currently has no plans to evacuate the staff of its embassy in the Ukrainian capital amid Russian missile attacks.

That's according to the Bulgarian News Agency, Ukrinform reports.

Kodzhabashev noted that his ministry is in constant contact with the staff of the Bulgarian diplomatic mission, which resumed work on September 12.

He also added that the staff is prepared to continue work on the ground with plans for evacuation in case of any escalation.

According to Kodzhabashev, the embassy offers all necessary conditions for a normal stay for about a week for the entire staff of six.

Bulgaria strongly condemns Russia's military escalation in Ukraine, including the massive airstrikes over the past two weeks against Ukrainian cities, causing human casualties and almost irreparable damage to civilian infrastructure, Kodzhabashev said.
