Zelensky congratulates Meloni on her appointment as Italy PM

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has congratulated Giorgia Meloni on becoming Italian prime minister and said he looks forward to continued fruitful cooperation.
“My congratulations to Giorgia Meloni, the first female Prime Minister of Italy. I wish the new government to successfully respond to all the challenges of today. I look forward to continued fruitful cooperation to ensure peace and prosperity in Ukraine, Italy and the world!” Zelensky wrote on Twitter.
As reported, leader of the Brothers of Italy party, 45-year-old Giorgia Meloni, was officially sworn in as the Italian government’s head on October 22, becoming the first woman to be elected as prime minister in the country's history.
