Zelensky hopes for fruitful cooperation with Italy’s new PM
Zelensky wrote about this on Telegram, as reported by Ukrinform.
"During the call with Giorgia Meloni, I congratulated her on the appointment as Prime Minister of Italy. I am hopeful for further fruitful cooperation. We talked about the integration of Ukraine into the EU and NATO, as well as the current situation in our country," the president wrote.
Zelensky also invited the newly-appointed head of the Italian government to visit Ukraine.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, the leader of the Brothers of Italy party, Giorgia Meloni, 45, officially took the oath of the head of the Italian government on Saturday, October 22, becoming the first female prime minister in the country's history.
The head of the Italian government during her first address to parliament on Tuesday, October 25, said Italy would not give in to Russia’s energy blackmail, vowing continued support for Ukraine.
