President Zelensky: There can be no effective climate policy without peace on Earth

The relevant statement was made by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the 27th UN Conference on Climate Change, an Ukrinform correspondent reports, referring to the President’s Telegram channel.

“There can be no effective climate policy without peace on the Earth. I emphasized this during the 27th UN Conference on Climate Change. It is necessary to stop those who, with their insane and illegal war, are destroying the world’s ability to work united for a common goal,” Zelensky noted.

In his words, Russia needs to shut the guns and hide its missiles, so the world finally hears what we can all really do together to save ourselves from the climate disaster.

“All of us – in Europe, Africa, Asia, America, Australia,” the President of Ukraine added.

A reminder that the 27th UN Conference on Climate Change is taking place in Egypt’s Sharm El Sheikh on November 6-18, 2022. The Ukrainian pavilion has opened there, dedicated to Russia’s climate crimes and their global consequences.
