Zelensky congratulates Poland on Independence Day: We will be winners, together
In his greeting, he used 104 words, as many years ago Poland restored its independence, Ukrinform reports.
"Dear Poland! Your restored independence is 104 years old today. And my 104 words go out to you. Ukraine and Poland are together. You are our sister. All sorts of things happened between us. But we are family. We are free," Zelensky said.
He recalled that when Ukraine celebrated the 30th anniversary of its newly-regained independence, Poland was by its side.
"I remember our shared happiness – we rejoiced together. When we faced an old and common enemy again, Poland was by our side," the head of state emphasized.
Zelensky assured that Ukrainians would always remember this, as well as how the Poles welcomed Ukrainians and how they help Ukraine.
"Your people are our allies. Your country is our sister. Your friendship is forever. Our friendship is forever. Our love is forever. And we will be winners together," the president emphasized.
On November 11, Poland celebrates a national holiday, Independence Day.
