Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba called on Southeast Asia countries to take all possible measures so that Russia does not play "hunger games" regarding shipments of Ukrainian grain.

He said this on the sidelines of a Southeast Asian summit in Cambodia, Ukrinform reports with reference to The Straits Times.

“We are winning battles on the ground. But the war continues,” he told reporters in Phnom Penh.

He also urged Southeast Asian countries to take all measures possible to ensure Russia did not play “hunger games” regarding shipments of Ukrainian grain to the global market.

Kuleba also stated that Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov had not requested a meeting with him. He also said Russia must approach all negotiations in good faith.

Earlier, during a meeting with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese on the sidelines of the summit, Kuleba said he understood that "everyone wants this war to end as soon as possible."

“I understand that everyone wants this war to end as soon as possible. We are definitely the ones who want that more than anyone else. But as long as the war continues, and we see Russia mobilising more conscripts and bringing more weapons to Ukraine, of course we will continue to count on your continued support,” the Ukrainian foreign minister said.

Kuleba thanked Australia for its support for Ukraine.

As reported, the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine stated on Friday that Kherson was returning under control of Ukraine, units of the Armed Forces were entering the city, adding that the only chance for the Russian military to avoid death was to immediately surrender.
