Biden vows to sign US funding bill with aid to Ukraine without delay

U.S. President Joe Biden has welcomed the adoption by Congress of a $1.7 trillion spending bill that provides $45 billion in aid to Ukraine and allies and promised to sign the document as soon as its reaches his desk.

Biden said this in a statement released by the White House, Ukrinform reports.

"This bill is good for our economy our competitiveness, and our communities – and I will sign it into law as soon as it reaches my desk," he said.

He added that the legislation "advances key priorities" for the United States and caps off a year of historic bipartisan progress for the American people. Biden also hailed the adoption of a large-scale $45 billion aid package for Ukraine and allies.

"It will provide additional assistance to Ukraine, another demonstration of our bipartisan support for Ukraine after President Zelensky's visit," Biden said.
