Von der Leyen mentions solidarity with Ukraine in her Christmas greetings

President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen called 2022 a momentous year for Europeans, one that revealed the soul and the strength of Europe, and mentioned solidarity with Ukraine.
“As we celebrate Christmas, let us remember this momentous year. A year when we overcame hardship, an unprecedented energy crisis and showed solidarity with Ukrainians defending their country. A year which revealed the soul and the strength of Europe. Merry Christmas to all,” von der Leyen posted on Twitter.
As reported, earlier von der Leyen said that the EU faced unprecedented challenges due to Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine but responded to them with unprecedented determination and unity.
