Former Ukrainian MP Zhevago detained in Courchevel - SBI

At the request of Ukraine's State Bureau of Investigation, French law enforcement officers have detained Kostiantyn Zhevago, a former lawmaker and shareholder of JSC Finance and Credit Bank, at a luxury ski resort in Courchevel, France.
That's according to the SBI's press service, Ukrinform reports.
The SBI said that Zhevago and the bank's top managers are charged with embezzling $113 million, which caused damage to the interests of the state and the bank's depositors.
To date, the property of the suspected oligarch has been seized, including shares of his enterprises worth hundreds of millions of hryvnias, corporate rights of companies, and 26 real estate properties. The property of other legal entities related to the former lawmaker was also seized.
In October 2020, seized assets worth more than UAH 300 million were transferred to Ukraine's Asset Recovery and Management Agency.
