Kuleba, Borrell discuss preparations for Ukraine-EU summit

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell have discussed preparations for the upcoming Ukraine-EU summit on February 3, as well as military assistance for Ukraine, sanctions against Russia, and Iran-Russia cooperation.

Kuleba said this on his Twitter account, Ukrinform reports.

"I had a call with EU High Representative Josep Borrell discussing in detail the preparations for the upcoming Ukraine-EU summit on February 3. We have outlined our expectations and focused on a format that will ensure its success. We also discussed military aid, sanctions, and Iran-Russia cooperation," he wrote.

The Ukraine-EU summit will take place on February 3, 2023. The topic of the summit may be continued support for Ukraine. Leaders can also assess Ukraine's path to membership in the bloc. According to the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, the Ukraine-EU summit was last held in Kyiv on October 12, 2021.
