Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has thanked Poland for the decision to send Leopard tanks to Ukraine and Lithuania for anti-aircraft systems to protect the country's energy sector.

He said this at a press conference following the second summit of the Lublin Triangle in Lviv on Wednesday, Ukrinform reports.

"Today I can say an important word for our defense, our state, for our army of the joint defense of Ukraine and all of Europe. This word is 'tanks.' I welcome this decision adopted by Poland, adopted by Andrzej [Duda], the Polish government, and I think Mr. President [Duda] will provide all the details," Zelensky said.

He also thanked Lithuania for the decision to transfer anti-aircraft systems to Ukraine, which, according to him, will strengthen the protection of the country's energy system, in particular, against attacks by Iranian-made drones.

According to Zelensky, the declaration signed at the Lublin Triangle summit in Lviv envisages the promotion of the Ukrainian peace formula, the inalienable right of Ukraine to protect its sovereignty and territorial integrity, assistance to Ukraine on its way to membership in the EU and NATO, and security issues.
