Zelensky calls on EU members, candidates for membership to join implementation of peace formula
He stated this during a joint press conference with the President of the European Council, Charles Michel, in Kyiv, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"It is very important that all our European partners – and not only the EU member states, but also the candidate states – be involved in the implementation of the Peace Formula, in supporting relevant international efforts and decisions, in particular the resolution of the UN General Assembly that is being prepared," said Zelensky.
He thanked the President of the European Council for supporting the Peace Formula and for his personal leadership in engaging other partners to help Ukraine.
"I really appreciate the European Union's support for our steps, our Formula, the willingness of Mr. President (of the European Council - ed.) to participate and be one of the leaders of the relevant Formula and the future summit of the Peace Formula, which we will definitely hold," Zelensky emphasized.
As reported, in November, President Volodymyr Zelensky presented the Ukrainian Peace Formula. In particular, it is about ensuring radiation, nuclear, food, and energy security, release of all prisoners and deportees, implementation of the UN Charter, and restoration of the territorial integrity of Ukraine and the world order, withdrawal of Russian troops and cessation of hostilities, return of justice, countering ecocide, preventing escalation, and fixating the end of war.
