Turkey will continue to seek end to war in Ukraine – foreign ministry

The Turkish Foreign Ministry said this in a statement on Friday, February 24, Ukrinform reports.

"Despite all our efforts, the war that started in Ukraine a year ago is still going on. Unfortunately, the heavy cost of this war is felt not only in the two countries, but also throughout the world. On all international platforms, we emphasize the need for a just and lasting end to this war as soon as possible, through negotiations," the statement said.

The Turkish Foreign Ministry said Turkey supports efforts to find a solution through initiatives such as the Istanbul Grain Deal.

"We will continue to provide all kinds of support and make every effort to end this war, which we have condemned from the very beginning, so as to restore Ukraine's territorial integrity and sovereignty," the ministry said.
