Prime Minister Sanna Marin of Finland says Europe will always stand with Ukraine and provide the country with more heavy military equipment.

This is reported by Yle, according to Ukrinform.

As noted, Marin emphasized that Ukraine will win with the help of its Western partners, adding that "a bright future awaits the country as part of the EU and NATO, as it is ready for reform." Meanwhile, Russia’s Vladimir Putin and others guilty of war crimes will be brought to justice, she added.

"Russia will lose this war. This is an illegitimate war. Russia is solely responsible for it. Every day in Ukraine, the Russian Federation deliberately kills civilians. People get raped. Children get deported to Russia en masse. All those guilty of these actions must be held accountable. Russia’s leadership, including Putin, will not get away with it either. Finland supports all efforts to bring those responsible for these heinous crimes to justice, including Russia’s leadership," the head of government said, according to Yle.

The war will end when Russia withdraws its troops from Ukraine, Marin stressed, implying that the war must not be allowed to turn into a frozen conflict.

"This will not end the war. The way to a lasting peace is about Russia ceasing hostilities. Only this opens the way to negotiations and steps towards peace,” concluded Sanna Marin.

As reported, President Sauli Niinisto of Finland in an official statement on the anniversary of the start of the full-scale Russo-Ukrainian war, emphasized that his country will continue to provide support to Ukraine for as long as it is necessary.
