Ukraine approves State Anti-Corruption Program
That’s according to Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, who broke the news on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
The head of government said: "Today the government approved the State Anti-Corruption Program, which is a key tool for the implementation of the Anti-Corruption Strategy 2021-2025. The program includes measures aimed at improving the efficiency of the graft prevention system in various spheres of public life, forming a negative public attitude toward corruption, and ensuring inevitable accountability for corruption."
"We understand that such an important document should remain dynamic and open to suggestions and additions. That's why we will work with parliament and other stakeholders, including the chiefs of anti-corruption agencies," Shmyhal noted.
He recalled that today the Competition Commission for the election of the National Anti-corruption Bureau director filed its proposals to the Cabinet regarding the shortlisted three finalists.
"So the government will appoint the Bureau director at its next meeting," Shmyhal added.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, on February 1, the government committee on national security, defense, and law enforcement endorsed the project of the State Anti-Corruption Program for 2023-2025 and recommended that it be submitted to the Cabinet for consideration.
