Zelensky: Sanctions should come quicker than Russia adapts
The president stated this during a joint press conference with Prime Minister Fumio Kishida of Japan, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"Japan applied 18 packages of sanctions against Russia, against Russian aggression. And the new sanctions packages should continue this path of restoring global security and reducing the potential of Russian terror. Sanctions should come faster than Russia is able to adapt to them," Zelensky said.
The head of state thanked Japan for supporting efforts to create a special tribunal for the crime of Russian aggression, as well as for its willingness to cooperate in implementing the points of the Ukrainian peace formula.
As reported, the Prime Minister of Japan is visiting Ukraine on Tuesday.
