Zelensky to pay official visit to Poland on April 5
Marcin Przydacz, Head of the International Policy Bureau of the President of Poland, announced this on Radio RMF24, according to Ukrinform.
He noted that this information had been made public in advance because President Zelensky wants to meet with Ukrainians living in Poland and Poles.
Przydacz said that such a meeting is being planned for Wednesday evening at the Royal Castle in Warsaw.
"Everyone will be able to come to Castle Square on Wednesday afternoon and I guarantee that everyone who will be there will be able to see the presidents on the TV screen, and maybe even closer," Przydacz said.
He noted that this visit would be special for many reasons. Przydacz said he could not disclose the details, but "we are preparing a number of elements that will show that this visit will be special."
Przydacz noted that Zelensky's previous visits to other countries during the war, including to Washington or London, were almost secret, whereas the visit to Poland will be official and public.
"President Zelensky wants to say a few words to Poles in the context of what happened last year, how Poles help Ukraine, how they helped refugees at the border, later taking them to their homes. I think that is the purpose of this meeting," Przydacz said.
According to him, during the visit, Zelensky will meet with Polish leader Andrzej Duda.
