Ukraine is part of the Euro-Atlantic family, and NATO partners will continue to work to achieve this goal.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said this at the opening of a meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Commission in Brussels on Tuesday, April 4, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"Ukraine's future is in the Euro-Atlantic family. And we will continue to work towards that goal," he said.

Stoltenberg called today's meeting an important milestone on the road to the Vilnius Summit. According to him, the participants will discuss "what more [they] can do to ensure Ukraine wins and prevails as a sovereign independent nation in Europe."

Stoltenberg recalled that Allies are already providing significant support to Ukraine, but admitted that "more is urgently needed." "We need to deliver on our pledges of training and new heavy weaponry and continue to ramp up production of weapons and ammunition," he said.

According to him, the foreign ministers of the NATO countries will also discuss the strengthening of political and practical support for Ukraine as well as reforms that Ukraine is undertaking to fight corruption, to strengthen the rule of law and to protect minority rights.

Stoltenberg reiterated that NATO partners would continue to support Ukraine for as long as it takes.

The Ukrainian delegation at this meeting is headed by Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba.
