MFA: Black Sea Security Conference completes architecture of International Crimea Platform
As First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Emine Dzhaparova told Ukrinform in a comment, the Black Sea Security Conference actually completed the architecture of the International Crimea Platform.
"This event brought together a large number of our partners who came to Bucharest. We are happy to welcome representatives from more than 50 countries and organizations participating in the conference. Security in the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov today is of interest not only to the countries of this region but also to the whole world. After all, this is the key to global food security, freedom of navigation, and restoration of the global security architecture in general," Dzhaparpva stressed.
She thanked Romania for co-organizing this event and clearly understanding the challenges we face.
The First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine noted that Ukrainian and international experts would present the document "Vision of peaceful, safe, and prosperous Black Sea region" during the expert day of the conference in Bucharest on Wednesday. The document offers a strategic vision for the future of the region and comprehensive measures to restore Black Sea security.
On Thursday, the main day of the Black Sea Security Conference, panel discussions and many important bilateral and trilateral meetings will be held, in particular, a meeting in Ukraine-Romania-Moldova triangle format.
As reported, the First Black Sea Security Conference of the International Crimea Platform will be held in Bucharest on April 12-13. The conference is organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania, the Ministry of National Defense of Romania, in partnership with the Center for Defense Strategies (Ukraine).
The First Parliamentary Summit of the International Crimea Platform was held in the capital of Croatia, Zagreb, in October last year.
