MFA invites President of Brazil to visit Ukraine

The relevant statement was made by Spokesperson for the Ukrainian Foreign Affairs Ministry Oleg Nikolenko on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Ukraine is watching with interest the efforts of the President of Brazil to find a solution to end the war. At the same time, the approach by which the victim and the aggressor are put on the same scales, and the countries that help Ukraine defend against deadly aggression are accused of encouraging war, does not correspond to the real state of affairs,” Nikolenko wrote.

In his words, Ukraine does not need to be convinced of anything. The war of aggression is being waged on Ukrainian soil and causing unspeakable suffering and destruction.

“More than anyone in the world, we strive to end Russian aggression based on the Peace Formula proposed by President Zelensky,” Nikolenko added.

The Ukrainian side also confirmed an invitation for the President of Brazil to visit Ukraine and understand the real causes and the true essence of Russian aggression and its consequences for global security.

A reminder that, on April 16, 2023, President of Brazil Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva called on the world to create an analog of the Group of 20 to end the Russo-Ukrainian war.
