Lithuania’s defense ministry: Aid to Ukraine reaches EUR 454M
This is reported by Ukrinform with reference to Delfi.
"At the moment, aid (to Ukraine, - ed.) amounts to EUR 454 million. We are currently also looking for ways to initiate new procurements, allocate money to international funds, and train Ukrainians," Anusauskas said on Tuesday at the evening session of the country's Seimas.
He added that this year, Lithuania is ready to train up to four times more Ukrainian soldiers than last year.
“While last year we trained 500 Ukrainian soldiers, this year we plan to train nearly 1,600, perhaps up to 2,000. In fact, we cannot always say how many will be trained but our obligation is to provide Ukraine with support until it defeats the aggressor,” said defense minister.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, in early April, Arvydas Anusauskas announced a new package of military aid to Ukraine worth EUR 41 million.
