Ukraine, Japan sign memorandum on digital cooperation
This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Education, Science, and Technology Development and Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
"We are starting digital cooperation with Japan – we have signed a memorandum with the Japanese Ministry of Digitalization. We will focus on cyber defense to protect Ukrainian critical infrastructure facilities as much as possible. Japan has experience and expertise in countering cyberattacks. We also agreed to share the best IT practices and digital solutions," he said.
Fedorov said Ukraine would help Japan with its experience in building a unified and effective e-government system: the “mobile first” approach, experience in quickly launching online services, developing e-government, and implementing digital innovations at the government level.
As reported earlier, the Ministry of Digital Transformation signed a memorandum with Techosystem, an association of technology companies that will contribute to the development of Ukraine's startup ecosystem and innovation infrastructure.
