Ambassador of France visits site of Russian missile strike in Cherkasy region’s Uman
The relevant statement was made by Ambassador of the French Republic to Ukraine Etienne de Poncins on Twitter, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“At 04:07 a.m., April 28, 2023, a missile hit a residential building in Uman. Twenty-three people were killed in their sleep, including six children. The representatives of the Embassy of France have paid tribute to them and expressed condolences to [Uman] Mayor Iryna Pletniova and local residents,” the French ambassador noted.
A reminder that, on April 28, 2023, Russia launched a missile strike on an apartment block in the Cherkasy region’s Uman. According to regional authorities, fourteen apartments were completely smashed and fourteen more listed as dangerous.
