First Lady of Ukraine arrives in Britain
Zelenska wrote this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
The First Lady noted that during the visit she met in London with the wife of the Prime Minister of Great Britain, Akshata Murty. Zelenska thanked Britain for its support to Ukraine, in particular for organizing the Eurovision Song Contest together with Ukrainian partners.
“Another reminder to the world about the Russian aggression, because of which we, a winning country, cannot accept the song contest," the President's wife wrote.
Zelenska also noted another important event - the Ukraine Recovery Conference that will be held in in London in June this year.
The President's wife handed Akshata Murty an invitation to the third Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen, which will be held in Kyiv on September 6 and will be dedicated to the topic of mental health.
"Year after year, the summit strengthens the role of first ladies and gentlemen: together we become more active so that to change the world for the better. The way Ukraine is doing it now," Zelenska wrote.
In addition, the First Lady of Ukraine and Akshata Murty visited the British Library together.
"One of the largest libraries in the world: 1.5 million visits per year, 170 million items. And among these artifacts of the British Library is a 100,000-strong Ukrainian collection! It includes important documents about the Holodomor on microfilm, one of the two world-known copies of the Lviv Primer by first printer Ivan Fedorov, a rare edition of ‘Kobzar’ by Taras Shevchenko - pocket, for secret reading during the times when the Ukrainian language was banned - many rare books and publications of Ukraine and the diaspora," the President's wife added.
As a reminder, King Charles III's Coronation will take place on Saturday, May 6.
