Ukraine's accession to EU, NATO to complete reformatting of global security architecture - Rada first deputy head

That’s according to Oleksandr Korniyenko, the First Deputy Head of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, who spoke at the plenary session "Geostrategic Reconstruction of the World" at the Global Parliamentary Congress "The Future of the World," Ukrinform reports.

The first deputy parliament speaker emphasized that Ukraine continues to defend itself and its independence while the Russian Federation commits crimes and terrorizes the civilian population.

Korniyenko noted the necessary actions for the victory of Ukraine, which will ensure the security of the Ukrainian state and the European continent. In particular, it is about partners providing Ukraine with modern warplanes to protect the sky, which will become part of future security.

He added that reforming the UN is also important because "it is impossible for the most dangerous country to preside over the Security Council."

The first deputy chairman of the Verkhovna Rada also emphasized the importance of establishing an international military tribunal to bring to justice the terrorist state and each of its criminals.

At the same time, he expressed the opinion that Ukraine's accession to the EU and NATO would complete the reformatting of the global security architecture.

"Thank you for supporting our state -- together we will achieve the victory of the free world!" concluded Korniyenko.
