Zelensky arrives at meeting with German Chancellor

The President of Ukraine is received with military honors, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

After the welcoming ceremony, negotiations will take place in a narrow and extended circle. A joint press conference of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholtz is also planned.

Then they will go to Aachen, where the Ukrainian leader will be presented with the International Charlemagne Prize.

Earlier, Zelensky met with Federal President Frank Walter Steinmeier.

As reported, the President of Ukraine arrived in Berlin from Rome at night.

This is the first visit of President Zelensky to Germany since the beginning of the war. The visit has been surrounded by unprecedented security measures.
