Kuleba arrives in Morocco
The head of Ukrainian diplomacy announced this on Instagram, Ukrinform reports.
"Morocco. At the beginning of the second tour of Africa, our Moroccan partners invited us to visit the beautiful Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca, the largest functioning mosque in Africa. This is a true work of art, which was created by more than 10,000 Moroccan artists and craftsmen over seven years," the minister said, noting that the mosque's doors are made of Ukrainian titanium.
Kuleba stressed that this is the first visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine to Morocco since the establishment of bilateral relations.
"The first tour was history, the second is already a system. In the autumn, the geography of the visit included Sub-Saharan Africa, and now it includes countries in all parts of the continent - from north to south. The logistics here are brutal, but work is work. Important talks with African leaders and businesses are ahead," the Foreign Minister said.
The minister also emphasised that the visits will be aimed at engaging as many African countries as possible in the implementation of the Peace Formula, securing support for uninterrupted exports under the Black Sea Grain Initiative and the President's Grain from Ukraine programme, and creating new opportunities for Ukrainian business.
As reported earlier, on 16 May, President of South Africa Cyril Ramaphosa said that African countries would propose a peace initiative to end Russia's war against it.
