Ukrainian, Costa Rican presidents discuss creation of international tribunal for Russia
Zelensky reported this on his Telegram channel, according to Ukrinform.
"I had a phone call with President of Costa Rica Rodrigo Chaves Robles. I told him about the situation that arose as a result of the destruction by the Russians of the Kakhovka HPP dam in the Kherson region. It is important to bring the aggressor to justice," Zelensky said.
He thanked the Costa Rican president for his country's constant support for Ukraine on international platforms and the introduction of sanctions against Russia.
Zelensky also noted Costa Rica's regional leadership in the work of the coalition to establish a special international tribunal for Russia's crime of aggression against Ukraine.
He also thanked Costa Rica for supporting the UN General Assembly resolution on the Ukrainian Peace Formula and invited Costa Rica to join its implementation.
The two discussed the possibility of organizing a Ukraine-Latin America summit and coordinated their positions ahead of upcoming international events.
