Missile attack “signal” to African leaders of Russia's true intentions - Kuleba

The Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, referred to the Russian missile attack targeting Kyiv during the visit of African leaders a signal that shows Russia's true intentions.

The head of Ukrainian diplomacy wrote about this on Twitter, Ukrinform reports.

"Putin ‘builds confidence’ by launching the largest missile attack on Kyiv in weeks, exactly amid the visit of African leaders to our capital. Russian missiles are a message to Africa: Russia wants more war, not peace," Minister Kuleba wrote.

As reported, the Air Force warned Ukrainians of the launches of Russian Kalibr cruise missiles from the Black Sea on June 16. Air defenses were activated in and around Kyiv. Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko reported the explosions in the capital’s Podilskyi district.

President of South Africa Cyril Ramaphosa arrived in Ukraine on Friday. Earlier, he announced a peace initiative to end Russia's war against Ukraine, which was to be proposed by a number of African leaders.
