Melnyk dismissed as Ukraine's deputy foreign minister

The Cabinet of Ministers has dismissed Andriy Melnyk as deputy minister of foreign affairs of Ukraine.

Taras Melnychuk, the government's representative in the Verkhovna Rada, said this in a post on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has dismissed Andriy Yaroslavovych Melnyk from the post of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine," he wrote.

On June 20, President Volodymyr Zelensky appointed Melnyk as Ukraine's ambassador to Brazil.

Melnyk had been working as Ukraine's deputy foreign minister since November 2022. Prior to that, he served as Ukraine's ambassador to Germany.
