Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte has said that cooperation with Ukraine is growing at all levels, and Ukraine's future lies in the North Atlantic Alliance.

Rutte reported this on Twitter, according to Ukrinform.

"We can look back on a successful NATO Summit. We've reaffirmed our support for Ukraine – in both word and deed. And we're stepping up our cooperation with Ukraine at every level. Let's be clear: Ukraine's future lies with NATO," he said.

According to him, Ukraine can count on long-term military support: "In this way we can help Ukraine to build an army that's equipped to deal with the Russian threat. An army that operates in accordance with NATO standards."

Rutte also added that Putin's war in Ukraine has made clear that NATO's defense and deterrence requires an ongoing commitment and focus from all NATO members.

"That's why the collective defense plans we've adopted at this summit – for the first time in decades – are such a significant step," he wrote.

He also added: "NATO is the cornerstone of our collective security, and the Netherlands is proud to be part of the Alliance. So I'm honored that for the first time in the history of the Alliance, the Netherlands will have the privilege of hosting the NATO Summit in 2025."
