Kuleba: After Jeddah meeting, we’re moving towards Global Summit at good pace

“Following the meeting in Jeddah, I can conclude that we’re definitely moving in that direction at a good pace and this [Global Peace Summit] is going to happen,” Kuleba told Arab News in an interview.

He added that Ukraine was working hard with Saudi Arabia and other countries involved in arranging this summit.

“And the deliverable of this summit is very clear — that the peace formula of Ukraine, which is a comprehensive way to solve the conflict, will deliver, and all of the issues covered by this peace formula will begin to be implemented. This is the only way forward based on the UN Charter and international law,” Ukraine’s top diplomat stressed.

As reported, in November 2022, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky presented the Ukrainian 10-point Peace Formula, addressing the participants of the G20 Summit. The preparations for the Global Peace Summit are currently underway. The Ukrainian authorities aim to hold the Global Peace Summit in the autumn of 2023.

The second meeting at the level of national security advisers and political directors on the key principles of peace based on the Peace Formula was held in Jeddah on August 5-6.
