Moldova counting on Ukraine's advice on audit of laws for compliance with EU norms
This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova, Nica Popescu, who spoke at the event "What does Ukraine's path to the EU look like? Hard Talk", reports an Ukrinform correspondent.
"I know that you have almost finished your self-screening. We haven't started it yet. Next week, my colleagues from the office of Ms Olha (Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Olha Stefanishyna - ed.) will explain to our colleagues how you passed self-screening and we will take your advice," he said.
Popescu noted that there is a constant exchange of information between Moldova and Ukraine, and emphasized that the two states should move in a consolidated direction toward European integration.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, the ministries and central executive bodies of Ukraine had a deadline until June 30, 2023 to conduct an audit regarding legislation compliance with European standards, and to submit a report to the government by August 30.
