Head of State thanks Bosnia and Herzegovina for financial support
The relevant statement was made by the Office of the President of Ukraine, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
The representatives of Bosnia and Herzegovina came to Ukraine to take part in the Third Summit of the International Crimea Platform.
President Zelensky expressed gratitude to his interlocutors for the financial aid received from Bosnia and Herzegovina amid Russian aggression.
The Head of State also noted the importance of Bosnia and Herzegovina joining the EU sanctions policy against Russia.
“Thank you for your visit to Ukraine on National Flag Day, it is a great honor for us. I would also like to thank you for supporting our sovereignty and territorial integrity, for supporting and participating in the Summit of the International Crimea Platform,” Zelensky said.
Additionally, the Head of State expressed gratitude to Bosnia and Herzegovina for supporting resolutions on the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine, in particular within the UN.
The parties discussed further prospects of enhancing interaction between the two countries, emphasizing that Ukraine and Bosnia and Herzegovina share a common goal, i.e. membership in the European Union.
President Zelensky also expressed hope that Bosnia and Herzegovina would find an opportunity to join the practical implementation of the Ukrainian Peace Formula.
A reminder that, on August 23, 2023, the Third Summit of the International Crimea Platform, dedicated to Ukraine’s vision of the future of the temporarily occupied Crimea and the matters of security in the Black Sea region, is taking place in Kyiv.
