Yermak, Sullivan discuss Ukraine’s priority defense needs

In a phone call, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak and National Security Advisor to the President of the United States Jake Sullivan have discussed Ukraine’s priority defense needs.

The relevant statement was made by the Office of the President of Ukraine, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

In addition, Yermak briefed Sullivan on the current situation on the battlefield and the actions of Ukrainian forces, intended to liberate the territories of Ukraine.

The Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine expressed gratitude for the U.S. leadership in the coalition of fighter jets and the decisions that enabled the training of Ukrainian pilots on F-16s and paved the way for Ukraine to receive these modern fighter jets.

Yermak and Sullivan also discussed the importance of the Peace Formula and negotiations regarding security commitments under the Joint Declaration of Support for Ukraine.

The Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine thanked U.S. President Joseph Biden, both houses of Congress and the entire American people for their help and support for Ukraine in its struggle for independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity.
