Nearly 20.3 million people watched U.S. President Joe Biden's speech promoting defense assistance to Israel and Ukraine, says the Nielsen research group.

That’s according to Reuters, Ukrinform reports.

This time, the audience was wider than Biden managed to attract in June when he advocated a bipartisan deal to tackle the debt cap crisis. Just 6.2 million viewers watched that address, picked up by two of the major U.S. broadcast networks.

Thursday's numbers were drawn from 10 U.S. networks, including ABC, CBS, CNN, Fox News and NBC.

More than three-quarters of the TV audience was over the age of 55, according to Nielsen.

Fox News attracted the largest cable audience of nearly 3.4 million viewers, beating MSNBC, which had an audience of 2.1 million, and CNN with 1.4 million, according to researchers.

As Ukrinform reported, US President Joe Biden, in a special address to the nation, said the terrorist organization Hamas and Russian President Vladimir Putin share a common desire to annihilate the neighboring democracies.
