No signs of “slackening” in international support for Ukraine - White House
U.S. National Security Council StratCom coordinator John Kirby said this on Thursday as he spoke with journalists, Ukrinform's own correspondent reports.
"There are more than 50 nations that are helping support Ukraine as part pf the coordination efforts that Secretary (of Defense Lloyd – ed.) Austin has been leading," the administration official noted, referring to the Ukraine Defense Contact Group, also known as the Ramstein format.
He emphasized that the coalition of allies and partners still has a lot of energy to move forward. Moreover, each country makes its contribution in line with its own sovereign decisions.
"However, we have not seen any slackening or disunity when it comes to supporting Ukraine," the White House representative emphasized.
He also reiterated his assessment that the next few months would be critical for Ukraine, and emphasized that assistance to Ukraine especially during this period was extremely important.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, the meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group took place this Tuesday with the participation of about 50 delegations. In total, the Ramstein format members have provided more than $80 billion in military aid to Ukraine and are pursuing their collective efforts to ensure continued support.
