On Wednesday, Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the Slovak Ministry of Defence Robert Kalyniak said that the health of Prime Minister Robert Fico is improving, and most of the serious complications are over.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported by Teraz.sk.

"Most of the serious complications we faced at the beginning are over, and now there are questions about his recovery, but it may be faster than we initially expected," Kalyniak said.

He added that Fico's return to his duties as prime minister would depend "on the decision of the doctors and his subjective feeling".

As Ukrinform reported earlier, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico was hospitalised in serious condition after being shot on 15 May. Fico underwent two surgeries after the attack.
