That’s according to Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs Iryna Borovets, who spoke with Ukrinform following a working visit to Peru.

According to the official, the working visit on June 3-4 gave an opportunity to conduct thorough negotiations with the Peruvian side in order to outline and designate new areas for further cooperation.

"Peru is interested in establishing close cooperation with the Ukrainian side regarding the repair and maintenance of aviation equipment. This direction is definitely worth developing," said the deputy minister.

"In particular, this concerns the field of modern tech development, which can become a starting point for deepening long-term cooperation between the two countries. We have enough different areas in which we can be mutually interesting and useful," she said.

The deputy minister also informed that Peru is interested in the Peace Formula put forward by the President of Ukraine. In particular, Peruvians are focused on humanitarian issues, and they can really make a big contribution on that track, the diplomat believes.

"We are pleased to state that our positions on how the war should end coincide, and that we have a common vision of what a permanent and lasting peace should be. We expect Peru to play an active role during the inaugural Peace Summit in Switzerland," Borovets said.

She also reported that Peru supports the idea of having an in-depth dialogue between Ukraine and Latin America.
