Finland not planning to send troops to Ukraine
That’s according to Yle, Ukrinform reports.
Stoltenberg has said the Alliance has no plans to send troops to Ukraine. Instead the allies will focus on long-term support for Kyiv, he added.
For his part, Stubb noted that Finland has no intention to send its forces to Ukraine either.
The NATO chief, while answering the journalists' questions, said the Alliance is currently seeing no direct threat of a Russian attack on member states. In addition, Stoltenberg highly praised Finland’s military potential and its good knowledge of Russia.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, on May 31, Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani of Italy stated that his country’s Constitution does not allow for deploying armed forces to Ukraine or using Italian weapons outside its borders, given that Italy is not at war with Russia, but is only helping Ukraine defend itself.
