Zelensky to Biden: It is important to accelerate delivery of American weapons

At a meeting with U.S. President Joe Biden in Paris, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized the importance of speeding up the delivery of American weapons.

The head of state said this in a post on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

“In Paris, I met with U.S. President Joe Bide. We discussed Ukraine's defense capabilities, the battlefield situation, and our preparations to sign a bilateral security agreement. To ensure effective protection against daily Russian terror, Ukraine must be able to strike military targets on Russian territory,” noted Zelensky.

The Ukrainian president also stressed the importance of strengthening the Kharkiv region's defense and accelerating the delivery of American weapons.

He thanked the U.S. leader for supporting Ukraine.

“It is very important for our people to feel that we are not alone, that we are with you, our strategic partner. We also appreciate the United States' leadership in advancing the Peace Formula,” noted Zelensky.

As reported by Ukrinform, in Paris today, U.S. President Joe Biden announced the allocation of a new $225 million aid package for Ukraine, particularly, to reconstruct the country's power grid.
