Air defenses for Ukraine to be on top agenda at 23rd Ramstein meeting - Pentagon
This was reported on Wednesday by the Deputy Spokesperson for the U.S. Department of Defense, Sabrina Singh, Ukrinform's own correspondent reports.
"Air defenses are a priority for Ukraine. It’s something that they need, whether it be in the Patriot or other forms. And so I'm sure that’s going to be a topic of discussion tomorrow at the UDCG,” the spokesperson said.
She also noted that the head of the Pentagon, Lloyd Austin, together with the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, flew to Brussels on Wednesday to participate in the meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group. There, he will also take part in the NATO defense ministerial on Friday.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, the Ukraine Defense Contact Group, the so-called Ramstein format, includes nearly nations aiming to coordinate efforts to support Ukraine in the face of Russian aggression.
