Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has thanked Antigua and Barbuda for joining the communique of the Global Peace Summit.

He said this in a post on X, Ukrinform reports.

"I am grateful to Antigua and Barbuda for joining the Global Peace Summit's communique. It is the first country that did not attend the Summit but later joined the final document," Zelensky said.

According to him, this demonstrates that the Ukrainian Peace Formula and vision for a just and lasting peace are shared by every continent and region of the world, from Europe to the Caribbean.

"And this coalition will only grow," Zelensky said.

He added that "a truly stable world is one of real equality, where all nations have a say and can demonstrate their leadership."

"This is precisely why we created the Peace Summit format, which we will continue to develop by involving new participants and working thoroughly to bring peace closer," Zelensky added.

The Summit on Peace in Ukraine was held on June 15-16 in the Swiss resort of Burgenstock. The summit participants discussed nuclear security, food security and the humanitarian dimension - the exchange of prisoners and the return of kidnapped Ukrainian children.

The communique remains open for accession by any nation.

The results of the Peace Summit will be handed over to Russian representatives.
