Six more signatures appear under Peace Summit Communique - Zelensky

This week, six parties joined the Communique of the inaugural Summit on Peace in Ukraine. Meanwhile, the Ukrainian authorities are working to increase the number of signatories.

That’s according to President Volodymyr Zelensky’s post on social media, Ukrinform reports.

"This week, 6 more participants joined the Peace Summit Communiqué. And our team is working to get more signatures. It is important to us that every part of the world, every country and every leader who respects international law can show their worth in bringing peace closer and restoring the full effectiveness of the purposes and principles of the UN Charter," the Ukrainian president wrote.

According to Zelensky, the inaugural Peace Summit showed that it is possible to restore all aspects of security and true peace. He emphasized that this requires global unity. The president assured that his Ukrainian government is working to achieve such unity. He also expressed his gratitude to all those who help the nation to this end.

As reported, the Global Summit on Peace in Ukraine, initiated by the Ukrainian authorities, was held in Switzerland on June 15-16. More than 100 countries and organizations from around the world took part in the event.

As of June 22, the Communique of the Peace Summit was signed by representatives from 81 countries and six international organizations.
